KATA to participate in 34th All Assam State Taekwondo C’ship, 2017

Diphu, July 23 (EMN): Karbi Anglong Taekwondo Association (KATA) will be participating in the 34th All Assam State Teakwondo Championship which will begin from July 27 and will continue till July 30 at Kachujan, Tinsukia. The team will leave for the championship on July 24 from Diphu. This was informed by KATA President, Augustin Kramsa, Coach Kamsing Hanse and manager Dorson Das here in Diphu.

Altogether 21 persons will be participating in the event.
The championship is organised by Tinsukia District Taekwondo Association (TDTA) under the aegis of All Assam Taekwondo Association (AATA). According to Kramsa, the association is organising the 34th Junior /Senior, 4th Cadet Kyorugi and 7th Sub-Junior/Junior/Senior & 4th Cadet Poomsae Taekwondo Championship.
KATA leaders also declared that the championship is open to sub-junior boys and girls above 8 years and below 12 years. Cadet boys and girls should be above 12 years and below 14 years while junior boys and girls should be14 years and not exceed 17 years and the senior boys and girls should be above 17 years. They also stated that only one entry player is allowed in each weight category for Kyorugi championship from a member District Association and none of the players will be allowed to play from any other district without NOC. The Poomsae championship will start on July 27.
