Karbi Anglong sand suppliers to stop sand supply to Dimapur

Diphu, Jan. 4 (EMN): Karbi Anglong Sand Suppliers Association (KASSA) has decided to stop supplying sand to Dimapur town if the concerned authority continues illegal collection of INR 5000 per truck near Police Check-post in Nagaland.

The KASSA said in a statement said it has been compelled to stop sand supply to Dimapur owing to ‘huge amount of illegal tax’ at a time when business has been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The KASSA has appealed the law and order authority to look into the matter at the earliest.
