Karbi Anglong: CEM of KAAC thanks people for mandate

Diphu, June 15 (EMN): Thanking the people of Karbi Anglong for the landslide win in the recently held Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) election, Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of KAAC said that since the formation of district council in 1951, no party had won all 26 seats.
Addressing a press conference held at CEM’s Bungalow in Diphu, Ronghang said, “As people have given us the responsibility for the second time, we will work 100% against the previous 50% which we were able to. We will work day and night”.
The CEM further informed that the MoS 2011 and 2021 clauses will be implemented in letter after discussion with the state and centre.
A fund of INR 14,000 crore will come through the MoS 2011 for the development of Karbi Anglong. The foundation of a central university, agriculture college and veterinary college has been laid by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in presence of the chief minister. Airport, hotel management institute, road and railway projects will be implemented, he stated.
Informing that the area of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong district is three times the geographical size of Goa, he added that KAAC will electrify all villages, connect them with piped potable water through JJM, provide employment and further sought cooperation from the people to carry out development work in all the Member of Autonomous Council constituencies.
