Karbi Anglong badminton team win medals at 5th National Masters’ Games

Badminton players from Karbi Anglong won medals in various categories in the 5th National Masters Games held at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh from February 11 to 14th.

The National Masters Games was organised by UP Masters Games’ Association and co-hosted by Sunbeam Academy Group.

In women’s doubles 40 + category, Kache Teronpi and Nirmali Terangpi won gold medals and April Beypi and Melody Engtipi won silver.

In mixed doubles 40 + category, Thong Teron and Jubina Beypi won gold medals; in the mixed doubles 45 + category, Kache Teronpi and Gyan Ranjan Bora won gold medals while in the women’s singles 45+ category, Kache Teronpi won the silver medal.  Altogether eight players from Karbi Anglong participated in the Nation Master games, informed Amit Rongpi, Coach. Meanwhile, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Chief Executive Member (CEM), Tuliram Ronghang while congratulating the winners on social media wrote: ‘I’m happy my wife Mrs Kache Teronpi  won gold medal in the women’s double badminton with Nirmali Terangpi; Gold Medal in Mixed Double with Gyan Ranjan Bora, and Silver in singles during the 5th National Master Games 2023, held at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh’.
