Diphu, Nov. 8 (EMN): The Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (KADCC) organised ‘Black day’ rally against demonetisation on its anniversary that was announced a year ago by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
To mark the protest against the Modi Government the Congress workers including Mahila Congress workers took out rally in Diphu market.
The procession was taken and led by Member of Parliament (MP) Birensingh Engti and former MLA Bidyasing Engleng, Klengdun Ingti , former, Executive Member, KAAC, Ashok Teron and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Secretary Aminor Rashid Chaudhury, Karbi Anglong District Mahila Congress committee, President Kasang Terangpi.
Right after the procession, a short skit against Demonetisation and GST which was enacted at the Congress office where workers of Karbi Anglong District Mahila Congress Committee (KADMCC) and the members of National Students Union of India (NSUI) also participated.
