DIMAPUR — The district administration, Chessore Town Students’ Union, Chessore Town Public Forum (CTPF) and police conducted a joint surprise checking in Chessore town under Shamator district on October 17 and seized expired goods from the shops.
According to a DIPR report, the joint team warned the defaulters not to repeat the same in the future and to keep their shops updated.
The team also notified all the business establishments of Chessore town not to sell any expired goods, banned items and other illegal goods from the shops or homes within the town.
The team informed that it will not tolerate any illegal trade and the defaulters would be dealt with seriously according to the appropriate section of law.
The team further appealed to all the responsible citizens of the town to be aware and inform the district administration or the town-based NGOs regarding any illegal trading activities.
