JICA review team visits Peletkie village under Peren district
DIMAPUR — A team of officials from the Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP), which is a Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) assisted project since 2017, undertook a review mission visit to Peletkie village under Peren divisional management unit on September 19.
The JICA review team was led by Fujiwara Hidenobu, representative of JICA India; Hosaka Shun, second secretary of economic section at Embassy of Japan; Tsubakimoto Mayumi, second secretary of political section at Embassy of Japan; and Sushma Sen Adarshi, development scientist of JICA India.
An update from NFMP stated that the JICA delegate held interactions with the joint forest management committee (JFMC), self help groups (SHG) and village council members of Peletkie village during the visit. The review team also visited some forestry intervention area, forest nursery site, entry point activity and water harvesting structure taken up under the NFMP project.
It added that Hosaka Shun has inaugurated a community kitchen, which was constructed through the NFMP project and assisted by JICA during the visit to Peletkie village.
It further stated that exhibition stalls were set up by women groups where different kinds of traditional items, organic vegetables and crafts were put on display.
