Jamir, KGOU condole MC Konyak’s demise

DIMAPUR — Newly elected Lok Sabha MP and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president S Supongmeren Jamir and the Konyak Gazetted Officers’ Union (KGOU) have condoled the demise of former minister MC Konyak who passed away on June 16.

In a condolence message, Jamir said Konyak’s “passing will be an irreparable loss not just to his family and loved ones, but to the entire Eastern Naga community and the people of Nagaland in general.”

The Konyak Gazetted Officers’ Union (KGOU) condoled the demise of MC Konyak, who was also one of the pioneer members of the union.

In a condolence message, the KGOU said that late Konyak would be fondly remembered and revered for his notable services in building and strengthening the Konyak communities, the Kohima Konyak community in particular.

“His death is not only an immense loss for the Konyak community but a huge loss for many fraternities across the state. He was ever willing and ready to share his wisdom and experiences when sought and consulted by any one of us who needed his piece of advice and encouragement,” it stated.

“We are indeed grieved to have lost a leader with vast diverse experience, and who had provided leadership in different capacities,” it added.
