Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): PHED minister, Jacob Zhimomi, inaugurated the Diphupar Ao Senso Telongjem (DAST) building complex in Diphupar village on Tuesday.
The minister, in his address, congratulated DAST for the successful completion of the building and also appreciated the union for offering the complex facility to every tribe,
Jacob said Nagas are ambitious “to this kind of development but it takes time and everyone needs to be unified.”
Suggesting that Diphupar, Purana Bazaar and some other villages within Dimapur could come under municipality, he further opined that deliberations should be made on those issues.
Imliakum Aier, who presented the technical report of the building complex, informed that the ground floor of the complex was constructed way back in January 2011. Aier said expansion works of the complex commenced in November 2019 and completed finally in December 2022 at an estimated cost of INR 2 crore, including site and services costs.
The building is a (G+3) storied RCC structure building with a total plinth area of 15,680 sq ft. The ground floor has 12 rooms for commercial purpose, the first floor 10 rooms for commercial purpose, second floor four rooms for commercial purpose and third floor has a conference room, sound engineer room and one dressing room.
In total, there are 26 commercial rooms, four office rooms, a conference room, dressing room, sound engineer room, two kitchens and 12 toilets.
Short speeches were also delivered by T Lima Jamir, vice president NEIPF; Ghuzui Shohe, chairman of Diphupar Village Council; and I Imkong, former minister. The dedicatory prayer was led by Rev. N Lipok Jamir, pastor of Ao Baptist Church, Diphupar.
