IPR director calls for collective support from DPRO Longleng

Dimapur, Nov. 04 (EMN): The Director Information & Public Relations (IPR) Limawati visited the DPRO office Longleng on Nov. 4 and inspected the office.
Interacting with the officer and staff, the director called on them to join hands and work together to build good image and reputation of the department. Stating that the officer alone cannot change the whole scenario of the office without cooperation and support of the staff, he urged them to extend full cooperation and support to the controlling officer. He asserted that the performance of the officials are know through the news reporting and appealed to the field officials to be active in reporting the day to day activities of the government to the people.
Limawati also urged upon the officers and staff to carry out their duties with sincerity and dedication to provide best public service. Lamenting that Nagas are not serious about their duties and responsibility after appointment, he said government employees are highly paid by the government to discharge their duties for the welfare of the people. It would be wrong on our part to receive high salary without performing our rightful duty, he added.
Acknowledging the grievances of the office, he assured to provide all basic amenities. However, he also informed that preference will be given to those offices where the officers and staff are performing their duties with dedication.
The director also spoke on the roles and responsibility of the staff and service rules and regulations for promotion and upgardation.
The DPRO Longleng S Hongpi Konyak lauded the director for visiting the office and providing camera, computer set with printer and other facilities for the establishment. He highlighted the grievances of the office and shortage of manpower in technical and field staff in the district. He also apprised the director for urgent posting or appointment of one Information Assistant in Tamlu ADC HQ.
