Inter-School Tournament: GHSS Medziphema to face SFS School in final

DIMAPUR — In the first semi-final of the ongoing Inter-School Football Tournament (Higher Secondary Section) at Medziphema local ground, Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Medziphema, defeated King David Hr. Sec. School and advanced to the final.

According to an update, the afternoon witnessed a spirited match from both sides fighting for dominance in the centre. The second half finally saw a breakthrough when a dipping long-range shot from Wezote of Govt. Hr. Sec. School caught the King David Hr. Sec. School goalkeeper by surprise.

The final score was 1-0 in favour of Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Medziphema.

In the second semi-final, SFS Hr. Sec. A faced off against SFS Hr. Sec. B in a one-sided match.

Team A was dominant from the first whistle, exhibiting complete control of the midfield and superior striking. Their constant pressure resulted in two own goals. Hongingmang, Robinson, Kevisede, Seginhao, and Satpu were the goalscorers for Team A, while Paominlen and Mengulhoulie scored for Team B.

The final score was 7-2.

SFS Hr. Sec. School A will face Govt. Hr. Sec. School in the final on Saturday at 1 pm.
