Impur Hospital adds vocational and Dhai center

Impur (Mokokchung), May 18

Impur Christian Hospital in Mokokchung district has a vocational and Dhai training centre now. The center was inaugurated by Finance Commissioner to the Chief Minister, Temjen Toy, in the premises of the hospital on May 18.
Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger, said the dedication for the new center.
The centre will be conducting a 10-month course recognized by the National Council on Vocational Training, under Government of India. The trainees will be provided free admission and lodging. After completion of the training, the trainees will have the chance to get employed anywhere in India.
Speaking during the program, Temjen Toy said that Impur Christian Hospital, which is also a Christian spiritual centre for the Ao Naga and neighboring tribes, have served the community for more than100 years.
Lauding the initiative taken by the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) and various churches for their cooperation, the bureaucrat said the new facility was a humble and simple beginning to embark onto a new journey in health care. He urged the authorities to make the center a successful facility where quality health workers would be produced to serve the people. Also, one of the center’s overseers, Dr. Sashi, expressed gratitude to Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo, Sungkomen Baptist Arogo, and Yimyu Baptist Arogo for their offering rest houses at Impur Mission Centre to accommodate trainees. He informed that the capacity of trainees was 25 out of which 19 trainees have been enrolled as the first batch.
Important dignitaries present at the event include former chief secretary of state, Alemtemshi, leaders from various churches, and village council members from nearby villages.
