Nagaland: IDAN chairman interacts with NBHM officials

DIMAPUR — Advisor to chief minister and chairman IDAN, Abu Metha, held an interactive session with the officials of the Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission at the Multi Utility Center, NBHM, Chümoukedima, on Monday.

Underscoring the huge potential of honey to boost the economy of Nagaland, Metha advised the officials to collaborate and invest in Nagaland honey, while stating that Nagaland honey should be a storytelling product with each production coming with unique tales of stories and offering the best quality, an official update stated.

He felt the need for an expert in marketing of the product and also emphasised on the importance of social media platforms for marketing. Honey Mission should aim for the benefit of beekeeping and villagers who takes up bee keeping, he said.

Lauding the Honey Mission for coming thus far, he also reminded that the mission should not only go for promotion development but also marketing purposes and multitasking  so that Nagaland honey can be exported and seen selling   in other countries as well.
