Nagaland: ICICI Bank conducts awareness programme in Wokha

Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): As part of Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) initiative, ICICI Bank, Wokha, launched the month-long nation-wide banking awareness in Wokha.

An update from ICICI Bank informed that the programme is being initiated to spread awareness among the public on prevention of online cyber fraud and how to report such cases online.

The awareness programme was also emphasised on customer’s rights, service related issues with their respective banks and steps to escalate the matter to banking ombudsman incase of unresolved or unsatisfied resolution, it stated.

It mentioned that ICICI Bank in Wokha has so far conducted two sessions with community and rural health centre. The programme started with introductory remarks by branch manager, Chumlamo Ennio, while the deputy branch manager, Renthungo Ezung, highlighted on various issues and preventive measures.

The bank has also plans to reach out to senior citizens and differently-abled persons during the campaign period.

Besides, the bank has rolled out online survey to understand customer’s experiences and awareness on banking practices.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Grace Yanthan, staff nurse of Primary Health Centre, Chukitong, Wokha.
