Hockey Championship: Maharashtra, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh win

Imphal, May 13 (EMN): Assam lost to Maharashtra in their first pool match on the third day of the ongoing 12th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship 2022 at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium in Imphal on Friday.

Assam’s lone goal was scored by jersey number 9, Neeshu Vihar, in the 33th minute, while the three scorers for Maharashtra were Sukanya,Sanjana and Hetal.

On the other hand, West Bengal beat Jammu and Kashmir by 2-1 goals, while Madhya Pradesh defeated Uttarakhand by 3-0 goals.

Interestingly Chhatisgarh thrashed Gujarat in another pool match by a score margin of 7-0.

On May 14 (Saturday), Tripura will take on Punjab in their first pool match, while Mizoram will meet Telengana in another match. Bihar will face Karnataka, while Arunachal will meet Chandigarh.
