HIV/AIDS awareness drawing, poster contest at schools

Dimapur, Sep. 18 (EMN): With the aim to spread awareness about HIV/ AIDS and to identify and honour the skills of budding talents, the 36 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a drawing cum poster making competition on the theme ‘HIV/AIDS awareness’ at St. Francis School, Tening, Peren district on September 13.
A total of 29 students from various standards participated in the competition and produced imaginative paintings highlighting preventive measures of HIV/ AIDS.
The same programme was organised by 32 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised at Government Middle School, Bamanpukhri-B, Dimapur district on September 8.
Altogether 45 students participated. Winners of both the schools were felicitated with prizes.
