Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): Nagaland Development Outreach (NDO), a development wing of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), organised a one-day advocacy programme on HIV/AIDS with the church leaders and youth of All Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland at its mission centre at Singrijan, Dimapur, on May 26.
The programme was organised with an objective to make the ministry relevant to the present changing time. NDO chose health, specifically HIV/ AIDS for the seminar as it is one of the pertaining issues that is prevailing in the Naga society.
According to NDO statement, resource persons Dr. Molusen Jamir, in-charge of ART Centre, Dimapur, and A Vikheho Chisho from NDO – spoke on HIV: its transmission and prevention, facilities available for treatment and care, need to remove stigma and discrimination, and responsibility of the church to create a safe environment.
