Heavy rainfall in Nagaland for next 2 days

DIMAPUR— Heavy to extremely heavy rain fall is very likely to continue over Nagaland state during the next two days after which there will a gradual decrease in rainfall, as per a statement issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday.

The IMD report stated that very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim is likely to continue during next two days and decrease gradually thereafter.

The report also stated that heat wave conditions over East India and adjoining Central India areas are likely to abate from June 21.

As per the report, in Northeast and adjoining East India, light or moderate rainfall at most places with isolated thunderstorm and lightning are very likely during the next five days.

According to the IMD report, on Wednesday (June 21), heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning are likely in Dimapur, Kohima, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, Mon, Longleng and Wokha districts.

On Thursday (June 22), heavy rainfall is likely over Mon and Longleng districts.
