DIMAPUR — A team of health officials under National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) and Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) led by Dr. A Kavito Zhimomi, district surveillance officer, visited health units under Dhansiripar block to monitor and supervise NVBDCP and IDSP activities on May 8 and 9.
An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur, stated that the team assessed the implementation of the health activities in the health units, especially focusing on NVBDCP and IDSP activities to ensure that all health units are on track to report and handle a surge in any disease within their jurisdiction. The team also ensured that the health programmes are implemented efficiently and effectively to prevent any disease outbreak and to achieve the goals of the programmes.
During interaction with the ASHAs and village health committees, Dr. Kavito encouraged them to support the health units in all activities and also apprised them on their roles and responsibilities.
After visiting all the health units under Dhansiripar block, the team had a review meeting with Dr. Khriekuolie Liezietsu, senior medical officer of CHC Dhansiripar to apprise him of their findings and feedbacks on the performance of the health activities under Dhansiripar block.
The team included Dr. Molungtsungba Jamir, epidemiologist; Dr. Antara Sharma, programme officer of Surveillance USAID NISHTHA-Jhpiego; and staff under IDSP, NVBDCP, and NHM Dimapur.

Report further stated that the team would continue visiting all health units under various blocks in the district in the coming weeks.
