Har Ghar Tiranga campaign launched in Karbi Anglong

Diphu, Aug. 1 (EMN): As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commemorating the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign for national flag selling point was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Karbi Anglong, Dibakar Nath in front of DC office main entrance gate on July 30.
Inaugurating the sale point, the DC said that the government of Assam has appealed all to put up the Indian tri-color flag at all government offices and private residences from August 13 till the 15th to mark the celebration.
The flag can be purchased at various selling points and can be put up at various locations by local women SHGs, he said while citing that each department has taken its initiative to reach the national flag to everyone.
The DC also said that the India tri-color flag should be raised after sunrise and should be removed before sunset while it should be kept inside the house.
He said the flag can be reached through ration card holders as well as several SHGs would be selling the flag
The sale point in front of the DC office’s main entrance gate is from the Durmi Assam Livelihood Federation (ALF) under the City Mission Management Unit of Assam State Urban Livelihoods Mission Society (DAY-NULM) under the Diphu Municipal Board.
