GYAK celebrates 32nd foundation day

DIMAPUR — The Gorkha Youth Association Kohima (GYAK) celebrated its 32nd foundation day on Monday.

According to a press release, marking the occasion, GYAK executives led by advisor Milan Sunam and president Narayan Bahadur visited Kohima Old Age Home. They distributed shawls to the elderly residents and handed over food items.

The release mentioned that GYAK was formed in 1992 under the leadership of late Deepak Lama to work for the welfare of Gorkha/Nepali youths in the capital of Nagaland.

On the occasion, GYAK also announced that it is gearing up to hold the Nepali Beat Contest in July and a sports event in December. GYAK encouraged community youth to prepare enthusiastically for participation in both events.
