Dimapur, June 22 (EMN): The Coming Generation (TCG) and Eco Angels, in collaboration with Rongmei women baptist fellowship, have jointly initiated ‘Nagala nd says no to plastic’ campaign on June 21 at Rongmei Baptist Church, Kohima.

As part of the campaign, a seminar on hazards of plastic bags and its threats to human being, terrestrial and aquatic animals, and the environment were delivered by Alice Kamei, TCG programme co-coordinator.

After knowing the hazards on the use of plastics bags, all the women participants have decided to reduce and stop using plastic bags in the days to come. They have expressed desire to have a healthy environment and safer future for the next generation.

The campaign was organised to support and encourage state-wide ban on the use of plastic bags.

TCG has resolved on ‘No plastic in Nagaland’ as its slogan. It has further sought support in order to ensure success in their journey on “Nagaland says no to plastic.”
