Dimapur, October 16 : Drivers of government vehicles have asked the Coordination Committee on Fuel administration (CCoFA) that the drivers ‘should not face any difficulties’ because they must have to comply with government order when duty calls. If there should be issues, the committee must take the matter up with the officers, because the drivers ‘would be on duty only’, a note from the drivers’ representatives stated on Sunday.

Milan Raj Banshi, advisor to the All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association, issued a message on Tuesday expressing their concerns to the CCoFA regarding the recently announced bandh on NH-29 bandh on October 17 for government-registered vehicles.
‘The government drivers work for government duty only so if they are compelled to drive during the bandh, the drivers should not face any difficulties since they are performing their duty,’ the association stated.

“So if CCoFA have any problem with the government registered vehicles for driving during the bandh they should consult directly to the officers instead of blaming the drivers for going against the bandh,” it added.
