Governor provides medical kits to villages in Tuensang
Dimapur, June 24 (EMN): Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi has extended basic medical kits aid to 10 most remote villages of Tuensang district through the office of the deputy commissioner, Tuensang.
The packages were distributed by the deputy commissioner and DTF chairman of Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, in the presence of the CKS president, Nungsanglemba Chang, at his office on June 23, a DIPR report stated. It stated that head GBs of three villages namely Waoshu, Yimpang and Taknyu were handed over with the packages from the DC’s office, while the packages meant for seven villages were handed over to the respective administrative officers for delivery to the concerned villages.
The packages contained medical equipment like oximeters, glucose meters, basic medicines, masks and PPE kits etc. The ten villages of the district which received the aid were Losolo, Keyanru, K Longsor, Kephore, Longtuker, Shongkiu, Khonangpong, Taknyu, Yempang and Waoshu.
Speaking at the programme, the DC stated that the medical accessories are meant for medical emergencies which need to be utilised with proper consultation from the staffs of the respective PHCs and health centres. The village councils were also told to make proper use of items received so as to benefit the villagers during such pandemic situations.
Meanwhile, CKS president has thanked the Governor for providing essential medical kits to the remote villages of Tuensang district.
