Dimapur, Oct. 2 (EMN): Governor of Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion of Dussehra (Mahashtami).
Stating that the festival celebrates the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana, he shared that it also celebrates the triumph of Goddess Durga over demon Mahishasura.
“This beautiful festival is a celebration of victory of truth over falsehood, triumph of the righteous and defeat of evil,” the message read.
The governor also urged to celebrate the festival by observing all the COVID-19 protocols.
“May this auspicious occasion inspire us to follow the path of virtue and guide us towards oneness, amity, happiness and prosperity,” he shared.
