DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Mungmung greetings to the Sangtam community.
In a message issued on Monday, the governor expressed hope that the festivities will also herald “togetherness, happiness, and prosperity” in the community.
“As we celebrate the blessings of the harvest and the richness of our cultural heritage, let’s also remember the values of unity and gratitude. May your days be filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of cherished traditions.
“May the spirits of our ancestors guide us and protect us, ensuring a bountiful year ahead. May this festive season bring peace, harmony, and endless blessings into your life”, read the message.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio took to the micro-blogging site X to offer his greetings. “Greetings to the Sangtam community on the occasion of Mungmung, a festival that celebrates the spirit of togetherness. May the blessings of the Almighty bring us bountiful harvest, prosperity, and longevity”, he wrote.
