Dimapur, July 31 (EMN): Nagaland Governor, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, has extended Tsungremong festive greetings to the Ao community and the people of the state.
“Tsungremong is traditionally celebrated to reinforce their bond of brotherhood and unity. It is also a time of thanks giving to the God for a bountiful harvest. This centuries old tradition is a priceless cultural heritage of the Ao people,” the Governor said in his greetings.
Mukhi urged upon the community, especially the youth, to imbibe and propagate the values of brotherhood inherent in Tsungremong festival.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also extended greetings to the Ao community on Sunday.
“Tsüngremmong salem to our brothers and sisters from the Ao community. May God continue to bless our lands and fields which provides for us with abundance of crops. May the essence of the festival be alive and foster love and oneness,” he shared.
