Government invites recommendation for Governor’s award
DIMAPUR — The home department has sought recommendations for the award of Governor’s gold medals and commendation certificates on the occasion of Republic Day 2024 (January 26, 2024).
A DIPR report informed that recommendations should be submitted by December 8.
According to the guidelines, the recommendation should contain detailed information about the candidates in the format given in Annexure A. It should be precise and not exceed one page (A4 size).
It stated that recommendations and citations for gazetted officers should be submitted through the concerned head of department. The administrative head of the department is required to sign and forward the recommendations/ citations to the special secretary of Home department.
It added that the recommendation/ citation for non-gazetted officers should be signed and forwarded by head of department directly to the special secretary of Home department.
Recommendations for personnel in Police, Home Guards, Prisons, and Fire Services should be submitted through their respective Director Generals/ Head of Departments. The recommendations/ citations should reach the special secretary of Home department.
It informed that both hard and soft copies of the recommendations/citations, duly signed by the recommending authority, should be forwarded along with the Annexure.
It further stated that the deputy commissioners are responsible for submitting recommendations for NGOs, individuals, and employees under their establishment. It added that the commissioner of Nagaland should sign and forward those recommendations to the special secretary of Home department.
