GMS Salangtem students undertake field trip to ITI Mokokchung

DIMAPUR — As part of the Nagaland Education Project – The Lighthouse – Nagaland Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources (NECTAR), the learners of Govt. Middle School, Salangtem, Mokokchung, embarked on a field visit to Industrial Training Institute at Marepkong Ward, Mokokchung, on April 12.

The objective of the field visit was to enlighten the students about the vocational training avenues available on completion of Class X, an update stated.

At the Institute, the learners were given an orientation on the various vocational courses offered by the institute, the eligibility criteria etc. The learners, accompanied by their facilitators, were also given a comprehensive tour of the Institute.

The visit to the institute gave the students a hands-on experience and awareness about the working of educational training institutes that prepares people for various skilled crafts.
