Ghathashi-KT Area Sports Association 2nd meet concludes

 DIMAPUR — The second meet of the Ghathashi-KT Area Sports Association (GASA) was held from January 22 to the 27th at Ghathashi town.

In the men’s football category, Chishilimi FC walked away with the championship trophy, INR 60,000 in cash and a certificate, while defending champion Iphonumi FC settled for the runner-up trophy, a cash prize of INR 30,000 and a certificate.

According to an update, the Tukuliqa women team won the trophy in the women’s volleyball category, taking home INR 20,000 and a certificate. The defending champion Mukalimi women team came in second and the best discipline team title went to Shesulimi FC.

Meanwhile, the GASA extended gratitude to the local MLA and chairman of the subordinate legislative committee, Dr. Sukhato A Sema, and assistant mining engineer of the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Pitoshe Sumi for gracing the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively. It also appreciated the Sumi Aphuyemi Football Referee Board for officiating the tournament.
