KOHIMA — Founder and Pastor, International Restoration Church Austin Texas, USA, John Monger, who is also a former student of Kohima Bible College (KBC), urged Nagas to get rid to wickedness and be transformed.

He was speaking during the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Kohima Bible College (KBC) at Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School (RGHSS) Kohima, on Friday evening.

Asking the people of Nagaland not to become rich by means of cheating but in righteous ways with prayer, fasting and purity, while referring to quotations from the Bible, he also stressed the need to embrace Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to be transformed.

Time has come for the Naga people to take the gospel to the whole world, he said, adding they are privileged to be blessed with prayer centres and the gifts of language among others to bear witness of Jesus Christ.

He told the youngsters to take advantage of being able to speak the English language, which is needed to spread the gospel to the unreached.

The pastor also challenge the congregation to declare the ‘good news’, dedicate their lives and take a decision to do something good for the Lord, as it could be too late if they wait for another day.

He went on to encourage the people not to give up during hard times but to acknowledge God and testify him through faith.

Rev. David Vaiphei, Executive Secretary of Kuki Baptist Association, Nagaland, who is also an alumnus of KBC, delivered the jubilee greetings.

The programme was led by Kekhriengulie Kuotsu, a former student of the college, while Kohima Bible College Male Voice; Sumi Baptist Church, Sepfüzou; and Koinonia Baptist Church, Senior Choir performed on the occasion.

Michael Ngusanyü, Pastor of Nagamese Union Church, Kohima, an alumnus of the KBC, led the congregation in the worship service.

The programme sequence on Saturday include a musical service starting at 10 am, featuring various churches, institutions, prominent artists, choirs and individuals, including Mengu Suokhrie, Ato Nienu, Neilhou Sopfünuo and Methaneilie Jutakhrie Solo.

The evening programme, which will commence at 4 pm, will be led by Keduoneituo Yhome Pastor of Phezoucha Baptist Church, Kohima (former KBC student/faculty), and Rev. Dr. Baptkupar Dunai, Founder Pastor, Cathedral of Praise Now Generation Outreach Revival Assembly, Shillong, Meghalaya, (former student of KBC) will be the speaker.
