KOHIMA — Following the recent massive soil erosion at Alahuto Colony in Zunheboto town that has affected several families in the locality, the Green Club Zunheboto (GCZ) has initiated crowd funding to assist the residents.

In a telephonic conversation, GCZ president Tavinto K Sumi, informed Eastern Mirror that 30 families were affected and some houses were already dismantled. As the contribution from the club was inadequate, he stated that they have initiated crowd funding.

He informed that the response both online and offline are both encouraging and the process of crowd funding is still in the process.

Mentioned may be made here that the crowd funding started from July 13 and would continue till July 15.

Tavinto said, “As a human being it’s our duty to help another human being when they are in need. Today they are suffering but maybe tomorrow we will also suffer. So that’s our main reason why we are doing the crowd funding for Alahuto Colony in Zunheboto.”

He, therefore, appealed to the people of Zunheboto in particular and Naga people in general to contribute towards the affected families through crowd funding irrespective of amount.

Interested individuals can pay through G-Pay @ +91 81190 15498.
