DIMAPUR — Golden Crown Theological College (GCTC), Dimapur witnessed the inauguration of the new building of its Church Music Department on September 21 with Athel O Lotha, Commissioner and Secretary of the Department of Arts and Culture and Excise Prohibition, as the special guest.

According to an update, the programme began with a dedication prayer led by Pastor Thenjamo Tsanglao, followed by the ceremonial ribbon-cutting by the special guest, marking the official opening of the facility.

The musical prelude ‘Goodness of God’ was performed by Albert and Mhathung, while Dr. Nzan Odyuo, Director of GCTC, welcomed the attendees, after which the college choir performed an uplifting rendition of ‘A jubilant song.’

Scripture readings from both the Old and New Testament were delivered by Chuba and Chuchule.

A tribute by a student highlighted the impact of the new building on the students’ musical and spiritual growth. This was followed by a soulful performance by a female voice.

The special guest, Athel O Lotha, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasising the vital role of theological education and church music in the cultural and spiritual life of Nagaland.

The closing moments featured a moving rendition of Goodness of God by the Music students. The programme concluded with a benediction by Donwibou Pamai.
