I thought in my heart, “God will bring to judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time for every deed. Ecclesiastes 3:17
The news came of the death of a man who had no home, no family and the sequences of the events was a shock in itself. The man who died was a former employee of Kohima Municipal Council and I was told that he got terminated from service because of his insincerity but what surprised me was the statement of an official concerning him. The official admitted of the dead man’s involvement in Kohima Municipal Council and the evil in him said, “ Though he was once a member here but since he was terminated , the Kohima Municipal Council has no association with him and will in no way render any help. The statement was evil and it will be to his folly if he is to continue in his sins. There were numerous confrontations prior to the funeral of the dead man and Satan tried to cause so much chaos but it failed to Satan’s own folly. When the decision to make a coffin for Albert came ( as he was called ), some said it will be o.k. to just lay a plank and cover him with some bamboos, while some suggested to dump his body in a gunny bag and bury him. Those were some of the evil highlights and as we stopped in a certain part of the town, a man joked of him as being pregnant. The utterances of these sinners were so wicked and it speaks a language of the last days. The truth is, in a little while the wickedness of the wicked will surely increase, while the righteousness of the righteous will glow more as the end of the end times nears. So much help were rendered by his good hearted friends who were also intoxicated by the bottles of wine they received from a police station. To this I rebuked them saying “You did not come here to be drunk, you must know what you are here for”. This made them think and I trust it is a rebuke in itself to the guilty ones. The following events were similar with so much misunderstanding between those involved there. So I said to them, “It will be wise to talk less right now and work more”. The urgency to order them came, so I hastened them to work harder till it was completed. And as the earth was dug and the coffin made ready, I ministered and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. That day as he was buried, I said to some of them, I made you work so hard but it does not mean that I really wanted you to suffer but I had to. The first time I ministered in a funeral was that and it was a mission and a challenge in itself.
The message I preached was of life and death and of heaven and hell. The mourners looked on as I shared about eternity and it is what everyone has to be serious about. It is true, God will bring into judgment every hidden and exposed sins and it will be wiser still for all of God’s people to “Heed the rod and the One who appointed it”. (Micah 6:9) Remember the rich man is now in hell but Lazarus is not and it is only in this life that decisions can be taken and choices can be made. The warning given to sinners is severe and it will be a tragedy for anyone to be on the back foot rather than being on the front foot and it may be far worse a humiliation to be behind others rather than being ahead of the others. The wise ones will listen to this and we trust everyone who reads this to heed the rod and One who appointed it. The signs of the last days are now on and let the wisdom of God be upon every tongue, tribes and nations. The end is still to come.
N:B: The lines in scripted in this message are revelations which speaks an urgent message of the eternal reign which is to be. Thousands of messages has been preached and heard and it will be in the near future which will bring to light the salvation of the righteous and the condemnation of the wicked. There are so many things we know and so many things we don’t and even as we know in part now, someday we shall know in full .The salvation of every family, every church is our cry, our prayer and we trust everyone who calls on the name of the Lord to walk in salvation not in sin.
