Dimapur, April 22 (EMN): The fifth day of the coveted Frolic Club 2017, played on knockout basis, four teams deftly dribbled their way into the next round scheduled in the coming week.
In the first match at 7am today, a staunch MVYO hit the goal net of Blue Boys 4-0, and booked a berth for themselves in the quarters. The second match at 8:30am saw Tsiepama Youth Organisation lock horns with FC Simlai, Sirhima, where TYO made a clean sweep with the score at 5-0 as play ended after fulltime.The third match at 2pm had Milcom FC and Winfield, Medziphema, on the ground which became more of a one-sided affair after Windfield thrashed Milcom FC 7-0. The last match of the day at 3:30pm saw Recreer FC and Young Generation FC in battle, where the latter ousted the former 3-1.
Monday’s matches:
1. Khanakhurü Students’ Union vs Young Maniacs, Khanakhurü, at 7 am.
2. Molvom Youth and Students’ Union vs Khaibung FC at 8:30 am.
3. Khanglai FC, Khaibung, vs Black Hornets, Chumukedima, at 2 pm.
4. KYC ‘B’ vs Legend Jr. FC, Chumukedima Town, at 3:30 pm.
