Football, volleyball matches heat up Police Duty-cum-Sports Meet

DIMAPUR — In the ongoing Nagaland Police Duty-cum-Sports Meet 2024, Day 2 featured football league matches, volleyball league matches, and a drill competition.

The event began on November 11 at the Police Complex in Chümoukedima.

In the football league matches, the results were as follows: In Group B, 6 NAP defeated DEF Kohima 3-2. In Group C, DEF Tuensang defeated CP Dimapur 4-2. In Group A, DEF Mokokchung defeated 4 NAP 2-0. In Group B, 2 NAP defeated 7 NAP 6-1. In Group C, DEF Wokha defeated IGP (INT) 2-0. Lastly, in Group D, 1 NAP defeated 14 NAP (IR) 1-0, according to an update.

In the volleyball league matches, the results were as follows: In Group B, CP DMR defeated 8 NAP with scores of 25-13 and 25-16. DEF Zunheboto defeated 4 NAP 25-16 and 26-24. In Group A, 14 NAP (IR) defeated DEF Kiphire 25-22 and 25-21. In Group B, 8 NAP defeated DEF Mokokchung 25-19 and 25-18. In Group A, DEF Peren defeated 7 NAP 25-18 and 25-22. Finally, in Group B, DEF Zunheboto defeated CP Dimapur 12-25, 25-23, and 25-23.

The preliminary results of the drill competition are as follows: The units that have qualified for the finals are the 5th NAP Bn., 12th NAP Bn., and 15th NAP Bn.
