Football, volleyball coaching camp underway at Tuophema

Dimapur, Jan. 10 (EMN): A week-long football and volleyball coaching camp organised by the Tuophema Village Youth and Sports Organisation (TVYSO) at Tuophema village began on Monday.

Trainers from the Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) and Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will be conducting the camp, a press release informed.

Addressing the gathering ahead of the first session, NFCA president, Roko Angami, encouraged the players to be disciplined, maintain a healthy diet and be respectful to elders.

Advising the participants to be sincere and not miss out on any training sessions, he encouraged the players to be professional and passionately pursue their game of interest.

With over 70 members under NFCA, he informed that various training sessions have been conducted across the districts and lauded TVYSO for conducting football and volleyball coaching at the grass root level.

TVYSO president, Vikeduo, informed that the camp is conducted with the aim to promote sports among the locals. Informing that the focus is to train young players, he challenged the players to make the best use of the opportunity given to them.

Visasielie Suohu, president of KDVA, hoped that the camp would mark a beginning towards promoting sports. He advised the players to obey the instructors and exploit their knowledge.

He further encouraged them to continue practising all the lessons learned even after the completion of the coaching.
