Dimapur, Feb. 1 (EMN): Advisor for Tourism, Art and Culture H Khehovi Yepthomi inaugurated an international standard sized football ground at Suruhuto town on Tuesday.
The advisor, while speaking at the inaugural programme, thanked God for enabling the construction of the ground as planned.
The advisor shared that the ground would benefit the younger generation in fostering the youngsters in the field of sports. He expressed hope that the sports lovers would make good use of the football ground and exhibit their talents and pursue it as a career with success, an update on Tuesday informed.
The Advisor reminded that the people had pledged to focus on area development during the election campaign, and urged ‘to remember that pledge afresh’.
He also lamented that due to the pandemic and lockdown, ‘many of his plans and programmes were being crippled and deformed.’ He added that his “only objective is to depict what’s there in his mind through actions but not in words”, an update stated.
He also appealed to the people to consider the common property as an individual’s property so that ‘it may not go wasted and neglected’.
He further told to the people to be patient “because nothing is ready-made, there is a time to sow and time to reap, so also development works”. Expressing his happiness over the completed ground, the advisor thanked all who had contributed their support in different ways.
