Five villages in Dimapur achieve 100% Covid vaccination

Dimapur, Aug. 1 (EMN): Five villages in Dimapur namely Hoito, Singrijan, Khopanala, Tir, and Molvom have achieved 100% Covid-19 first dose vaccination to all the eligible population.

In this regard, Dr. Rebecca, DPO, UIP/RCH, expressed her gratitude towards the communities of those villages and the village authorities for their active participation and support during the Covid-19 vaccination outreach sessions.

Dr. Rebecca further stated that such achievement would not only protect the communities but also encourage others to come forward and get vaccinated.

“We can fight and end this pandemic only if we all work together, create awareness on vaccine efficacy and safety, and all eligible population get vaccinated,” she added.

She further hoped that more villages and wards in Dimapur district would get motivated and come forward for vaccination.

Such commendable feats could be achieved by holding several vaccination outreach sessions, stated an update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur.  It also appreciated the healthcare workers for carrying out their duties with diligence and sincerity.

The total number of eligible population vaccinated with first dose of Covid-19 vaccination are 256 in Hoito village, 825 in Singrijan village, 519 in Khopanala, 82 in Tir village, and 605 in Molvom village.
