DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Diwali as well as Chaga Gadi/Langsimnyi greetings.
In a message issued on Wednesday, the governor wished for abundance, good fortune, and prosperity in every endeavor on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights.
“May this Diwali bring new opportunities, positivity, and the strength to overcome any challenges. Let the spirit of Diwali inspire kindness, unity, and hope in our hearts,” the message read.
In a separate message addressed to “my Liangmai and Zeliang brothers and sisters”, Ganesan urged for cherishing the rich traditions of ancestors, fostering unity and strengthening bonds as a community.
“As we partake in feasts, songs, and dances, let us also reflect on the values that unite us all. Wishing you and your families a vibrant and prosperous festival season filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories,” it stated.
Rio took to X to convey Diwali greetings. “I share your joy in celebrating the #FestivalOfLights. May there be peace and harmony in every home, and your celebration be joyful. Wishing everyone a safe and a blessed Diwali,” he wrote.
In another post, he wrote: “Greetings to the Zeliang community on the occasion of Chaga Gadi/Langsimnyi. We thank the Almighty for a bountiful harvest, the blessings of good health, & acknowledge our womenfolk for their sustaining role in the family & community. May the festivities strengthen familial ties.”
