ENSUB observes 20th freshers’ meet

DIMAPUR — The Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union, Bengaluru (ENSUB) organised its 20th freshers’ meet at India Campus Crusade for Christ on the Theme ‘Equip to advocate social disparity: preserving culture and empowering community,’ on September 17.

Chairman and founder of Brand Neurons Designs Pvt. Ltd., Yuikan Shirik, the guest of honour, in his address, underlined on the need to remember “our forefathers as fearless headhunters,” an update stated.

He however encouraged the Eastern Nagas in Bengaluru to change the direction from headhunting to hunting opportunities in every field.

Additionally, he exhorted the attendees to be fearless, adaptable and take action by seizing every opportunity to go forward.

Earlier, the event began with an invocation prayer by pastor Bechung Konyak of Eastern Nagaland Fellowship, Bengaluru and a salutatory speech by ENSUB president David Chang.

A special prayer for the freshers was pronounced by pastor Nikato of Naga Christian Fellowship, Bengaluru.

The enumeration and presentations were made ENSUB general secretary. Nyeiwang Phom.

Koangpong C Konyak and Zedila Sangtam were crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher 2024, respectively.

The freshers’ day programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Samson Khiamniungan and benediction pronounced by pastor Vezokho Resu of Living Faith Church.

Altogether, around 400 attendees attended the programme.
