Kohima, April 21 (EMN): Hundreds of students representing the Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) on Thursday staged a democratic agitation for inclusion of exempted departments and posts under the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) regulation, 2020.
The agitation was held at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Complex Kohima.
Chingmak Chang, President of ENSF presented the chronology of the issue and the charter of the federation to the agitators.
Solidarity speeches were also delivered by President of Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation (ENPO), Tsapikyu Sangtam, who stated that NSSB is to serve justice to all with no nepotism, tribalism and others, for the good of the Nagas. While Naga Students Federation (NSF) President, Kegwayhun Tep stressed on the functioning of NSSB at the earliest. Belila, Vice-president of Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation (ENWO) and Pongsu Chang, President of Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) also spoke during the agitation.
The playcards of the agitators read – enough is enough, implement transparent NSSB, federation against pick and choose policy, transparency and meritocracy for aspirants, stop victimising innocent aspirants, stop marketing government jobs etc.
