Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has called for a public rally in all the seven ENPO tribal headquarters on August 4 next to reiterate its demand for ‘Frontier Nagaland’ state.
The unanimous decision to hold the rally was taken during the ENPO consultative meeting with the seven tribal bodies and “Talk team” held on June 28 last at Tuensang village, informed a circular appended by ENPO president, R Tsapikiu Sangtam and general secretary, Manlang Phom.
When contacted, the ENPO president told Eastern Mirror that the rally will be conducted in a democratic manner and no educational institution or offices will be affected because of the rally.
With the ongoing Naga Political solution being the central topic, the Sangtam said “the organisation’s rally and demand for Frontier Nagaland will not clash or affect the demand of the Nagas as it is a general demand of all the Nagas whereas the demand for Frontier Nagaland is within the kitchen.”
Sangtam also said that after the rally, a reminder letter will be submitted to the Government of India.
