Dimapur, Sep. 8 (EMN): Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has informed the seven tribal bodies under its umbrella to ban any election related campaigns by any parties or candidature declaration programmes in their respective jurisdiction.
This was in reference to the resolution adopted on August 26 by the seven tribal bodies — Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS), Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC), Konyak Union (KU), Phom Peoples’ Council (PPC), United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP), Tikhir Tribal Council (TIC), and Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC) — to not participate in any election process of the state or centre unless the demand for a separate state, ‘Frontier Nagaland’ is fulfilled, a notification issued on Sep. 7 informed.
It further stated to carry out massive public mobilisation programmes without delay.
