Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) has urged the concerned department and the state government to initiate necessary measures to make the Wakching New Model College functional within March.
In a representation to the director of Higher Education, the union has reminded of its earlier letter dated November 2, 2021, pertaining to Wakching New Model College, which it claimed has been laying paralysed since its inauguration on February 3, 2019.
The representation jointly appended by its general secretary, Sanglekhamba C Chang, and the vice president, Mankap C Annyuhu, has sought clarification from the department and government for ignoring the college. The union has also resented the apathy of the concerned department and government for turning deaf ears despite repeated reminders.
In light of the above stated circumstances, the union requested the concerned department and government to initiate a positive gesture within March failing which it cautioned to take its own course of action. It further added that the concerned authority would be held solely responsible in the event of any untoward incident arising out of the issue.
