Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) conducted a traffic awareness campaign from July 26 to 29 within East Dimapur jurisdiction assisted by volunteers from East Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union. The campaign was conducted under the supervision of EAC Chumukedima and ACP Zone- II (Traffic).
EDBA has appealed the public to follow traffic regulations especially on NH 29 where construction of highway is under process despite the inconveniences of the road conditions.
EDBA also appreciated the contractors for accelerating the work and also requested them to complete the work within the time frame. EDBA also thanked the EAC Chumoukedima, ACP Zone-II (Traffic), contractors, SDO National Highway Kito Anche, and the president and members of East Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union.
Meanwhile, Dimapur police have lauded the East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) and East Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (EDSSU) for conducting traffic awareness campaign from July 26 to 29.
“Such awareness campaign plays an important role in shaping the outlook of the public to become responsible drivers, passengers, pedestrians and motorist,” Additional Commissioner of Police and PRO stated in a press release.
Further, Dimapur police reiterated that obedience to traffic rules is mandatory for safe and efficient flow of road traffic.
