All Ward Union of Changtongya had destroyed the seized contraband drugs and liquor by setting on fire in the presence of the All Ward Union members, Watsü Telongjem (Mother’s), GBs Union and the church.
Chairman of All Ward Union of Changtongya, Masanokdang, and the secretary, C Yanger, said the intoxicants and other drugs were confiscated from the possession of one Bendangtemjen, son of Taliknagzuk. The items included 2206 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon, 21 strips of nitrosun tablets, 10 bottles rum and 4 bottles of whiskey. The accused hailed from Changtongya.
Meanwhile, the union has appreciated NSCN/GPRN under the leadership of T Wapang Jamir, Leacy of Ao Region NSCN/GPRN Changtongya Block, for conducting the raids. The All Ward Union Changtongya has termed as a welcome step for the public as a whole. It further look forward to such activity so as to cleanse land and re-build the society.
