Dimapur, Sep. 24 (EMN): Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu led NPF party today said the acknowledgement by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) national secretary cum spokesman, Narendra Verma, for continuing its post-poll alliance should serve as an eye-opener to party rank and file of the NPF as well as the misled group of people at Hotel Legacy, Kohima, as to who the real and legal leader of the NPF party is.
It mentioned that the NCP, which won four seats in 2013, was betrayed by its legislators when they defected to other political parties without any qualms.
A press release issued by NPF Media and Press Bureau, Central Headquarters, stated that NCP Nagaland unit under the young and dedicated convenor Vanthungo Odyuo has a herculean task in the coming months to identify candidates who would not hesitate to sleep with the highest bidder as those in the world’s oldest profession are wont to.
It stated that NPF party, being deeply rooted in the psyche and ethos of the Naga people, is determined to provide the best of its services to the Naga people and would naturally want its alliance partners to identify candidates who have integrity, loyalty and determination to serve the people, and not some habitual defectors and political tourists who have been tested and found wanting.
