Dimapur, Dec. 5 (EMN): Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur, got its Atal Tinkering Laboratory (ATL) which was inaugurated by SI Jamir, chairman of Dimapur Public School Society, on December 5 in the presence of pro vice-chairman Dr. Aotoshi, school principal BK Nanda, teachers and students.
An update from the school stated that the laboratory was set up with grant from Niti Ayog, government of India. The laboratory would promote and facilitate inquisitive young minds to innovate and explore the new dimensions in science and technology and entrepreneurship.
It also stated that the lab is equipped with educational learning ‘do it yourself kits,’ electronic and robotic tools, 3D printers, sensors etc. It added that the students would get the opportunity to bring their inner creativity to life by making and presenting models using the available resources.
The laboratory is designed to serve as a community hub of ideas and innovation and the students are now given an extra platform to experiment with their ideas, the release added.
It further stated that the school is prepared to ensure productivity during innovative trails with the help of the teachers and students, who have been trained in the lab training programme recently.
