Dimapur, June 6 : The “Vikas Parv” programme on the completion of two years of BJP-led NDA government has been scheduled on June 9 at Agri-Expo premises, Dimapur, at 3 p.m. Hectic preparations are underway by the joint DAN organizing committee of BJP Nagaland and NPF.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of Development of NER (DONER) (IC), PMO Personnel, Public Grievances & Pension, Dept of Atomic Energy, Dept of Space, Maj. Gen. Khanduri (Former Chief Minister), Dr. Anil Jain, National BJP General Secretary, Shahnawaz Hussain, BJP Spokesperson are expected to address the public meeting.
Jaangsillung Gonmei, General Secretary (Media), BJP Nagaland in a press note informed that the NDA’s second anniversary celebration through nationwide month-long programme of “Vikas Parv” or Public outreach programme would be interspersed with public meetings, seminars, social networking, public interactions and discussions on governance and public issues.
Gonmei said, the public meeting with Union Minister for DONER, Dr. Jitendra Singh and his entourage on June 9 would be an important event as the issues that would be addressed are nearer home and immediate to the developmental needs and aspirations of the people.
He said, the North eastern Region and Nagaland face several issues related to development and economy that need to be addressed, reassessed, reviewed, or reinvigorated to bring about positive changes, upliftment and bring up the region at par with the other parts of the nation.
“The previous BJP-led NDA government of Atal Behari Vajpayee, understandably created this North-east development ministry and therefore it would be appropriate for the people of the North east and Nagaland in this instance, to actively participate in the meeting at Agri Expo on June 9.” The BJP Nagaland invited all the people, women, youths, leaders of various social, business and political organizations to attend and be a part of the celebration meeting and discussions.
All the BJP Nagaland party officials and members of various levels and frontals particularly Dimapur and Kohima District, have been informed to attend the meeting without fail. Party members are asked to bring along family and friends.
The first “Vikas Parv” programme of the completion of two years of BJP-led NDA government was celebrated at Kohima on June 2, along with the entourage of D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Minister of Law & Justice, Nihalchand, Minister of State Panchayati Raj and Vinay Sahasrabudhe National BJP Vice President.
The Chief Minister T.R.Zeliang and his cabinet, BJP MLAs, State Presidents of BJP and NPF as well as hosts of party and public leaders and citizens attended the event.
